Folklorama : Experience the energy of Folklorama, the largest and longest running multicultural festival of its kind in the world!”  Website:
Here is your chance to visit the many pavilions that feature Lace in some form, either in costumes, demonstrations or displays. It runs for two weeks, August 4-17, with kick off the Forks.
We’ve been invited to demonstrate bobbin lacemaking at the Belgian Pavilion and perhaps generate some interest in fall classes!  It will run during Week 2, August 11 – 17, Sunday to Saturday.  View the photo gallery on the blog to see some photos. More to be added!
Biographies:  If you haven’t taken the opportunity to write your biography, please add it to the ever growing list!  Share your ‘lace’ experience.  Sample ideas: what sparked your interest, when you started, favourite kinds, travel to various lacemaking sites or museums, significant classes and/or lesson books that helped you learn.  Please include a photo or two.
Biographies are kept in plastic sleeves in a binder and are generally one page to two pages, including photos.  Received from Bev, Donna, Ewa, Jocelyn, Mary, Michelle, Rose Anne, Shirley, Yvonne...
