Greetings to the Northern Lights Lacemakers!
This coming Sunday is our regular lace group get together.
Sunday, Aug 26, 2012
St. Peter's Anglican Church
755 Elm Street at Grant Ave, Winnipeg
Time: 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Parking is along the west side of the building. Hope to see you there! If you want to drop by for a shorter time, Mary puts the kettle on for tea around 3:00 pm. Dainties are welcome, optional.

Thank you to Yvonne, Mary, Iona and Brenda who signed up and demonstrated bobbin lace making at the Belgian Pavilion during Week 2 of Folklorama! It was much appreciated by the Pavilion coordinators and the public enjoyed seeing lacemakers in action!

Save the Dates! For October 26, 27 and 28th, we are planning a mini Fall Retreat! Outline with details to follow. This will be an informal event, possibly at St. Peter’s on the Saturday before our regular Sunday afternoon meeting end of October. Those attending the I.O.L.I. convention in St. Paul could bring items for ‘show and tell’. We won’t be staying there overnight so it will be a day together and the Sunday regular meeting as normal. Friday night will have optional activities ‘off site’ for anyone interested!

For those who stitch AND make lace, here is a link to free patterns for a variety of small projects! Combine the two techniques (stitching and lace) to make a unique item…
